La Morada
Welcome! You've reached the landing page for the 2025 Giving Projects for La Morada. Thank you for your partnership with us in creating a beautiful place for global workers. This year, we have two year end projects that we are raising money to cover.
An On-site Chapel - $20,000
We have long dreamed of having a small chapel on the grounds of La Morada for people to engage in prayer and worship. Our plan in 2026 is to convert a former pump house into a chapel which sits in a corner of the property that we have designated as a lament garden. Many of our guests are processing deep grief and loss when they come to us, so we will have a lament fountain, benches, and places both in the chapel and nearby for their reflection times.
Your giving towards this project will cover:
Creating a large glass cross window in the main wall
Wooden benches and kneelers
Supplies to paint and decorate
Commissioning a local ironworker to make a beautiful door
Benches for the lament garden
Finishing the Training Room - $20,000
In 2026, we will also be converting this six car garage into a training room. This room will have a cafe vibe which our team will use for working space and meetings, but also convert easily into training space for larger retreats and local meetings.
Your giving towards this project will cover:
Folding glass doors to replace the garage doors (to add more light to the room)
Low ceiling lighting,
Couches, and armchair, and side tables
Repainting
Artwork for the walls
